THE PROJECT
Veritas After Hours is the weekly community hour for The Crossing Church’s college ministry, Veritas, giving students a space to connect after worship. As the After Hours Graphic Designer, I create the full design kit each week. I work on everything from announcements and signage to menus and activity materials, often within a 12–14 hour turnaround window.
The Process
Every Monday evening, I receive a list of needs for that week’s After Hours event. From there, I build a complete graphics kit by 10 a.m. Tuesday, starting with the established After Hours brand and expanding it as needed.
I select a supporting color palette, source or illustrate graphics, and develop a cohesive visual direction that can flex event-to-event.

Each week’s concept is translated across formats—announcements for screens, printed signage, table pieces, and any unique assets the activity requires.

The Final Product
For our Coffee & Tea Night, I created a visual system that followed our brand colors and fonts, but felt very clean. The full kit included two announcement slides, six directional and informational signs, two menus, and a menu key used by volunteers. Each piece was designed to feel clear and consistent while fitting the overall After Hours brand.
